From the Beginning

I originally got into keyboards many years ago back in 2016. I watched the meteoric rise of the pok3r, keyboard science on reddit and even drop, but never went beneath the surface. Instead I built myself a simple 60% and was happy to use that for another 3 years.

Fast forward to the end of 2018 and my best friend asked me to help him with finding a keyboard. This sparked the descent into madness and we quickly began attending meetups, watching streams, meeting local keyboard friends and absolutely burning through money in a race to endgame.

Somewhere in 2019 I made the decision to make my own keyboard (should be easy, right?) The serpent 65 was born shortly after and I tweaked it over and over again until I was ready to order a prototype. I’ve now iterated 3 more times on the serpent design and am finally happy with the end result. I’m really excited to bring it to everyone else who appreciates it as well as the meme-worthy rikia.

Not satisfied with mountains of keyboard debt - I also enjoy many other hobbies. Chief among them is coffee, specifically espresso.

I’ve been focusing on getting rikia and the serpent ready for prime time and had absolutely no time for anything else. However, soon I’ll be living up to my namesake and putting out a few coffee accessories, blogs on coffee and you might even see some small bean releases.
